Acrofit Power™
Acrofit Power™ is a high energy cardio-acrobatic practice all done on your yoga mat. This class welcomes all levels and is excellent for intermediate and advanced level athletes and yogis that seek deep invigoration and an exciting physical challenge! A restorative meditation follows the Acrofit Journey.
This routine includes all the best techniques that professional acrobats use for high-level training – ideal for anyone with a desire for better health, increased strength, greater flexibility, or weight loss.
Acro Thai Yoga
Acro Thai Yoga is a playful blend of basic Hatha Yoga postures with a hint of simple acrobatics to energize, strengthen and stretch. In addition to the restorative benefits of Thai Yoga, Acro Thai Yoga offers a chance to try something new! We will connect and safely challenge perceived limitations! Come without or with a partner (hands on class), dress comfortably and expect to leave smiling.
Beginner Belly Dance
In this class you will learn the basic building blocks of belly dance techniques and skills. We will be learning about movements, understanding basic drum rhythms, and performing simple choreography along with use of Finger Cymbals (Zills) and Veils. Each student will be required to purchase zills and veils on their own or through the instructor during the first class.
Expressive Yoga™
Expressive Yoga is a creative Hatha based yoga class that is open to all levels! The fluid nature of an Expressive Yoga™ class is healing and inspiring! The practice embraces creative movement and language to inspire detoxification, agility, centering and liquid like transitions with its great emphasis on Serpentine Asana Flow. The hip and heart opening techniques combined with deep sounding of the breath enable emotive expression through the voice and encourage freedom within the body. The practice offers a serpentine movement, called ‘Serpentine Asana Flow’ (slow dance) and highlights slow rhythmic movements and transitions. The Expressive Yoga™ practice touches on 9 sequences that welcome all levels. Beginners are encouraged to feel their innate strength and connection to breath while also lending advanced practitioners a deeper connection to their body knowledge. Asana modifications are demonstrated by the instructor when needed. Each Expressive Yoga class ends with a serene meditation inside the cozy little sanctuary. Handstand Class
Learn to do handstands! Improve your balance, stamina, focus, and spatial orientation. If you’ve been wanting to learn how to do this inverted move, or have been struggling with any type of inversion in your yoga practice, come to this class! Practice handstands and inversions with proper supervision and coaching from professional coaches. Discover the right way to cut your learning curve in half while keeping your body healthy with proper technique.
Kundalini Yoga
Kundalini Yoga as Taught by Yogi Bhajan is designed to give you “hands on” experience of your highest consciousness. It combines breath, mudra, eye-focus, mantra, body locks, and postures in a precise, conscious manner to affect the body, mind, and soul. Slow Flow Vinyasa Yoga
Very similar to Vinyasa Flow with an emphasis on slower movement and gentle transitions. Recommended for beginners or practitioners desiring a slower pace class.
Vinyasa Flow Yoga
In this concentrated, flowing practice we break down the intricacies of all postures while maintaining a rhythm connected to the sacred flow of elongated breath. The word “vinyasa” means aligning breath with movement. Whenever we lengthen the breath in yoga, we step closer towards serenity. We will strengthen and tone the body while learning multiple alignment techniques for every stage of each posture. This class is a focused flow for new and experienced practitioners alike who wish to gain an understanding about the joints, muscles and healing properties of Yoga.
Yoga Dance Drum
This class can be described as a transformational journey! Yoga Dance Drum embodies the Sacred Dance Fusion & Expressive Yoga practices all in one! What does this mean? Come as you are, no prior dance experience necessary and enjoy the exploration of Middle Eastern, West African and serpentine dance forms. Dress to Express and prepare to feel a natural high at the end of the journey which leads us into a deep, healing meditation. Live percussionists carry us through the journey as we shimmy, undulate, sweat and find sinuous, creative flow in the body, mind and spirit! Yoga Dance Drum is exotic, dynamic, sultry, expressive, tribal, celebratory and a divine sweat! This class is a unique opportunity to explore movements that are designed to clear the body of static energy and fatigue. These movements are fused into one vivid yoga~dance experience.
Yoga Dance Drum encourages you to break through boundaries and explore the sensual and primitive nature of freedom in movement.
